Shared Earth Network has joined the movement.
On October 24, 2009 members of our community submitted over 350 prayers for our world for the International Day of Climate Action. Local churches also rang their bells at 3:50pm. The churches participating included: Flagstaff Federated Community Church, Episcopal Church of the Epiphany, Our Lady of Gualalupe, and Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. 350.org is working to reduce earth's carbon levels to 350 parts per million. On October 24th thousands of environmental groups around the world took a stand. We'll all post what we did using 350 to represent reduction to 350 parts per million, which is considered the safe upper limit of CO2 in the atmosphere. We are currently at 390 parts per million.
